Northumberland is a super place for a holiday and Alnmouth is the ideal base to explore the region's many
attractions, castles in abundance, museums, market towns with interesting shops, the cheviot hills are nearby, and of course miles
upon miles of beautiful beaches, where you an still find solitude even on the busiest summers day if you know where to look.

Our unpretentious en suite bedrooms are homely and comfortable, all have colour television, hot drinks tray and comfortable chairs,
and most are, as it says in the Rough Guide to England, 'huge' with our smallest boasting a glimpse of the North Sea over the rear
of the village.

Our dining room is small and cosy, with sea shanty décor and flickering ships lamps hanging from the oak beamed
ceiling we serve dinner to both locals and holiday makers (our own guests included) our menu although short is changed almost daily
it features fish fresh from the boats of local fishermen and game (in season) from the Estates of Northumberland we offer a
vegetarian alternative and almost always can accommodate those who just want 'a good steak'.
We are very much a family
business, with perhaps three generations working on a busy summer night, this ensures all our customers receive a warm welcome.
Beaches is small, friendly and comfortable with excellent food a combination we think that makes us the perfect holiday base.

cosy coastal pubs with log fires and chatty 'locals' wrap up warmly and enjoy long solitary walks with your loved one, our fresh
