The  Alnmouth Grocer occupies a central position on the West side of Northumberland Street and has a long tradition of supplying quality groceries to residents and visitors alike.

Having recently been renovated we now combine modern equipment with traditional service values to offer a wide range of fine products. Further work is underway to expand the sales area of the shop during 2004.

Catering for all of your holiday needs we have a 3metre Delicatessen counter offering a selection of Cheeses, Northumbrian Organic Meat, Pates, locally baked sweet & Savoury pies, cakes & puddings. Our chilled counter can provide you with Craster Kippers & Cod, the finest fresh Curry Sauces and fresh salad items.

In The Ice Cream Parlour, “Famous for all kinds of wickedness” you will find perhaps the most extensive range of Ice Creams in the area including many local Ice Creams from Doddington Dairy and Beckleberry’s.

Our range of wines, beers & spirits, whilst compact, caters for most tastes and we stock a full range of Lindisfarne Mead & Wines and local favourite the legendary Alnwick Rum.

Fresh bread is delivered daily from two local bakeries to provide a wide choice and our cakes & biscuits are drawn from many local bakers as well as  more well known brands. We are now also able to offer locally grown soft fruit and vegetables when in season including strawberries, raspberries, cabbage & cauliflower.
