The Hope & Anchor is reputed to be one of the oldest buildings in Alnmouth
village and although originally two cottages, it has been an Inn for as long
as the present villagers can remember and it's walls will no doubt carry
secrets and stories, which only they can tell.
Today it is under the ownership of John and Barbara Davison, whose main aim is to provide
a comfortable base from which the guest can enjoy the delights of the heritage coastline,
golf courses, cycle ways, walks and wide sandy beaches.
John and Barbara provide a special welcome to all of their guests, with hearty breakfasts,
picnic lunches (by prior arrangement) and a cosy well stocked bar.
The atmosphere is relaxed and without undue formality.
Fully licensed premises.
